sage advice

ree

So... I wanted to offer some sage advice to folks out there who may be interested in opening their own print press. If you on a whim decide one day you're going to make your own print press and you have a dirt floor in your basement that sometimes gets a smidge leaky, you may want to install some sort of floor/subfloor to keep all that dirt and dust away from your precious press babies.

This is a wonderful idea, 10/10 would recommend, HOWEVER,

For the love of god and all things holy do not make my mistake. Install your floor before you buy your print presses. If anyone was wondering where this site creator went and why they've had no new content for like, a week, they've been down in their basement using 2 x 4's and a pry bar trying to shift around a print press, lay down a floor and then maneuver that 800 lb beast up onto the newly installed floor.

In short, they've been struggling...

So for anyone out there in the interwebs who may be reading this and may have sage advice on how to do this without crushing myself, any and all advice would be welcomed. And always remember, there's a very good reason people take pride in saying "I built my business from the ground up..." it's because it implies they were smart enough to start with the floors.
